Article: The '85 Morris

The '85 Morris

"I was recently fortunate enough to be given an afternoon aboard this beautiful 1985 Morris (fitting name) 28’ sailboat docked here in Charleston, SC. Built in Southwest Harbor, Maine, between 1972 and 2001, Tom Morris built nearly 200 yachts with partner Chuck Paine. Unique at the time for their fiber glass frames, these well known off shore capable, single man operating sailboats are a rare gem, especially in this condition. I decided to shoot a few staples that seemed fitting for the journey on such an impressive piece of history. These shots are mostly digital, but I did take many more inside and out with our '85 "Auto Boy" 35mm (also fitting for the time period) that I'll be sure to post once the roll is developed." - Chris M.
