"The Morris & King name is steeped in our ancestry. The 'King' side is reflective of Natalie's maternal Grandmother. A lover a fine goods, she was a purist when it came to quality and design. The 'Morris' side being reflective of my Father who passed away in 2018. Also a lover of fine goods, he introduced to me the importance of heritage, and even wrote a book on the subject. When he passed he left behind a plethora of luxury and classic menswear, books, and home goods that I realize now have become heirlooms. We aim to embrace those ideals that have now become engrained in our belief system. With Natalie's background in design, and mine in business, we're excited to release products that make you feel like the best version of your unique self by being purveyors of fine heirloom goods.
Natalie and I have been designing and creating products for over a decade now. Between the two of us, our careers as entrepreneurs and artists has spanned across a wide variety of collections including apparel, fine jewelry, and home goods. We've created artisanal goods for a plethora of niche markets, but not one that encapsulates our interests around history, high fashion, and comfortable elegance. Morris & King, named after both our families, is our most personal project yet as it more accurately reflects who we are with a heightened focus quality, innovation, and overall design.
We look forward to sharing with you a more personal glimpse of our life in Charleston, as well as our frequent travels up and down the east coast, right here on the M&K Journal. One of our passions is building a community within all of our brands, and in the past we have strictly relied on social media and our newsletter to share not only our journey, but food and drink recipes, new product releases, our design process, ongoing projects, and much more. We look forward to doing the same here at Morris & King in addition to offering an in depth look into our personal interests and passions.
That being said, after nearly two years of planning, I'm happy to share with you our soft opening launch product line. We decided to launch with core products that will set the pace moving forward. These core pieces of apparel, accessories, and home goods are items we will be expanding heavily on as we grow. We've taken our knowledge of the industry and have begun working with a higher quality production team, as well as fabrics and textiles which in return has elevated the overall quality of products that we have become known for prior to Morris & King. We look forward to sharing with you all that we have planned. Thank you."
